Advantages: honest, reliable, trustworthy.
Disadvantages: they have to use BT's lines, owned by BT
I have been with Plus Net for 5 years now, since moving to a BT only area.
I have been very happy with them since day 1, when i had a router problem and the person on the phone actually knew what they were tlaking about. I am very knowledgeable in IT, so being able to talk to someone when you have a problem who doens;t just say its Windows, or reboot the PC is a refreshing change.
Throughout my time with them their service has gone from strength to strength, and luckily since being bought out by BT they have managed to keep their own identity and way of working (good move BT as you know if you'd have fully absorbed it 90% of the customers would have jumped ship immediately)
There is a reason they are continually rated No1 provider, its because they will help, they aren;t afraid to winge at BT Wholesale or you, and they do not tell you a pile of rubbish to try and confuse or shut you up.
The actual broadband service is excellent and although your line conenction is same regardless of ISP because its all a BT line, the fact they have their server end kept upto date and continually buying more Pipes to decrease retention and allow you to operate at full speed, shows how commited they are.
Aswell as the fact they are very transparent with their throttling to give all users a fair access to the internet, and they now offr a true 100% unlimited data transfer package, it just ahs standard thorttling as others do, or you can buy a package that has far less throttling to give you that speed, but has a very reasonable cap on it.
This company goes from strength to strength and i suspect it will not be long before they are offering unthrottled, unrestricted, uncapped access.
Keep up the good work PlusNet.
