The obvious difference in Virgin mobile to other mobile networks is the price. This is shown in both the price of the handset and in the call costs.

Virgin Mobile operate over the One2One network, using the alternative frequency (900/1800). This provides generally good coverage around the country, with the only weak spots being moorland/highland, where Vodafone is probably your best bet.

Virgin Mobile have chosen to go for the same price pattern as One2One. After a 10 minute call the call prices are identical, but Virgin have opted for 5 minutes @ 15p instead of 2 minutes @ 30p, making it cheaper if you only use your phone for less than a couple of minutes.
