Sky Dial 1602 (Broadsystem Ventures Ltd.)

I was billed by sky talk for £19 when I entered a competition on Sky's dream machines program on discovery home and leisure. This was an 0900 phone call which was supposed to cost £1 When I complained to sky talk they didn't want to know. I complained to Offcom , who emailed to say that sky would contact me . They never did so via Offcom I asked for a contact address . Back came the Details for BROADSYSTEM VENTURES LTD. So far this has dragged on since September 2003. I was alarmed to see the comments about Broadsystem ventures and I visited their website Broadventure .com. "Hmm," thought Sky, "we are losing some customers to cable, because they offer cheaper phone calls. What can we do?" And so, SkyDial 1602 was born. Broadsystems are based at 1 Virginia Street London, the same address as News International, the people who own top family paper The Sun, and the people who are the major shareholders of Sky. 1602 – I can’t believe this organisation, sorry, this shower is still operating. In October/ November 1998 my husband decided to subscribe to this telephone service as he was in business &, on paper, it looked as though we would save a considerable sum on our phone bills. We gave them our credit card details & they advised that they would debit our account on a monthly basis. In the following May he sold the business & we moved away still assuming they had taken their payments. About a year ago our family where phoned by a company going by the name of Sky Dial 1602.The aim of the company the person that phoned us told me was to offer savings on local phone calls by typing in 1602 before you called,the service was meant to be free.
