This is an isp for those people who don`t use the net often enough to commit themselves to signing up for (and paying) one of the off peak or 24/7 packages. I loved this isp; you have to go to their home page (www.strayduck.com) and download the dialer to be able to continue and use them, but once done, the`re a joy! For every three weeks ... I joined StrayDuck the first month it started (ages ago!) because I was an existing Telinco customer. I have been using it now for a long time. Basically, the idea is that you connect for two weeks using an 0845 type number and earn minutes for all the time you are online. Then on the third week you can connect to an 0800 number and ... StrayDuck: As you know I used to be with ‘The Free Internet’ Group for my Free 0800 Internet Access (by the way – you really don’t want to join TFI), and after being kicked off found (through the good old people at Beenz) ‘StrayDuck’. With StrayDuck, after you register and download the simple dialer and ... Read the complete review

I started using Strayduck a couple of months ago having read a fairly positive review on Dooyou. The idea for those of you who haven't come across Strayduck before is that you dial in as normal for two weeks out of every three and then in the third week Strayduck divide the total of the minutes you were online in the first two weeks ... In theory you use Strayduck for two weeks on their ordinary local rate dial up number. You get an average of the minutes used in those two weeks for free in the third week. This comes up automatically on an 0800 number. A box appears telling you how many free minutes you have and when you can use them. This sounds okay but it was very ... Read the complete review

Strayduck has been around for a while and while you consider free and 'free' internet access consider this: Strayduck offers you a local rate dial up and does not charge you a penny. Every third week you are allowed to dial up with an 0800 number!! So every third week is free! It works like this: You download the dialer and surf for 2 ... Read the complete review

Strayduck was my number one isp for abut 1/2 year when it first started up. Now I have ntlworld, I do not use it anymore. If you have not yet got ntlworld or BT's copy of it then this is a very good option. Basicaly what happens is you surf for two weeks normally and Strayduck adds up how many minutes you have surfed for. It then halfs that ... Read the complete review

Strayduck ISP You may have already heard of 'Strayduck' as being 'The free ISP that offers 0800 access one week in 3'. The deal is this - You register with Strayduck and surf as much as you like for a fortnight. For every single minute you surf during this period, you will be given a free minute on the third week of the ... Read the complete review

Yep, it's another isp offering 'free' access. The sign up process is a breeze with no problems, once you start using the isp that's when problems start. The service works on a 3 week cycle, the total minutes of surfing in the first 2 weeks divided in half the is total of free minutes of surfing in the third. ... Read the complete review

In my opinion strayduck is great for people who dont have free internet access such as btinternet or NTL. I think the logo "free 0800 access every third week" is a bit missleading because it make you think that you just get totally free access every third week when you dont. It is actually the average amount of time the 2 weeks before in ... Read the complete review

I use this as a backup ISP, and for all my e-mail as I use Libertysurf as my main one. What first attracted me to Strayduck was the fact they were giving away 0800 minutes, as at the time I was a fairly heavy user, this system worked well for me. The connection speed is always good in my experience, and I have always got ... Read the complete review

Strayduck was my main ISP (I used to have about 5) for about 3 months. I do not use it now because I have ntlworld (hehehe!) But If you cannot get ntlworld or BT freeinternet, this is the service I would recommend to you. This is how it works - For 2 weeks it counts how many minutes you have been online for, then it halves this number and gives ... Read the complete review

In a world with so many ISP's plagued by problems and connection difficulties, it is reassuring that at least one has got it right. After an easy sign up process, you have a special (but small) program that dials you up to the Strayduck service. I have found that it connects quicker than ISP's using the default Microsoft dial up ... Read the complete review

well, hmmmmmm absolutely? I don't think so, but then whats free in this life? Here's the deal: You sign up to strayduck and download their connector ... takes a matter of minutes, and you connect on an 0845 number for 2 weeks. This is a local rate number like freeserve is. On your 3rd week, they average out how ... Read the complete review

StrayDuck is an ISP offering "Free 0800 Access every third week". This is a little misleading at first though, as you have to earn the free time for that week, its not just given away. It works like this: Spend time online dialling the 0845 number and you get free minutes. Sounds fair enough, but they could tell you this in their ... Read the complete review
