Advantages: a brilliantly priced bundle!
Disadvantages: They should let customers know when the bargains are on the market
I have been a pay as you go mobile phone customer for many years as I enjoy the freedom to chop and change my providers as I choose and not be tied up to a long contract which ultimately means I lose the opportunity to get good value for money. When you decide to have a pay as you go phone, you understand and accept that the deals will not be as good as a contract. The companies want to get you tied to them as it is well known that mobile phone brand loyalty is one of the most fluctuating areas in the commercial market.
I chose to have a T-Mobile phone purely by chance. My phone broke and I needed a new one and I was able to get a phone and pay as you go contract for £29.99, with the addition of a ten pound top up voucher.
I decided to register my phone and was impressed with the ease that I was able to do this. the website was very easy to navigate and actually gave me a variety of options to get the best deal from my vouchers, depending on if I made better use of calls than texts...or vice versa. I liked the flexibility it awarded me and have been able to change my tarrif more than once with great ease, a word of warning though, if you choose the 3p text tarrif, the call charges are hideous!
The customer service via the website is very good and I like being able to log onto to check my balance, as well as having the option to call 150 to check it out, as I sit at a computer most of the day, it is very easy to log on and check.
recently, I had noticed at the bus stops, posters advertising unlimited texts and three hundred minutes of calls all for twenty pounds as a pay as you go T-Mobile customer.
I logged onto my account and added twenty pounds of credit and then followed the instrustions ( a simple text message sent to the company). Within ten minutes I was on the new tarrif which lasts for thirty days at a time, and it now looks like I will only be paying twenty pounds a month to use my mobile, as I send more than seventy texts a day easily, I think I have got excellent value for money. As the recession deepens and everyone is out looking for the next best bargain, I was delighted to discover that T-Mobile are leading the way with promotions that ensure you stay with them, that also offer excellent value for money.
i am also pleased with the coverage available to me, I have so far had no issues with using my phone in the United Kingdom, which is also a bonus!
If you are a pay as you go customer, why not consider this option, or instead, get your provider to match the deal!
Summary: A great deal for the pay as you go customer
