TalkTalk whats to say about these scammers well quite a lot.

I almost join TalkTalk after seeing a number of ads on tv for value broadband & talk package for £6.49 per month but a number of things they didn't tell you.

But myself i like to see what i am relay getting before i pounce and grab the offer.

What the failed to tell you on the ads is that you also have line rental to pay at £11.25 per month.

And there connection fee of £24.99 and upwards.

The reason i say upwards is i made a number of calls to them someone said it will be some of the following

I was confused at this point as i had been told 3 different connection fees for the same package so what one is it.

Next i asked about there broadband package and they said i would get anything upto 8Meg i said ok grate.

They done a speed check and to my shock they said i would only be able to get around 4.5Meg on my line.

Knowing already i had 16meg services with sky broadband and am only 1.2klm from the local exchange but had canceled there services due to them sending me a bill through for 3 months of all services in one go and wouldn't give me any options to set a payment plan up.

Next i asked TalkTalk about there usage.

They said to me i get a Huge 40GB download allowance.

I responded ok and is that going to be enough for 1 computer 2 laptops and ps3.

They said well if running that much then you might want to go for are mega booster which is another £4.00 per month giving me a total of 80GB per month.

So i asked the question do you provide an unlimited package instead of having to add on boosters and i see this is where there making there money and also charging you if you go over your limit..

Terms and Cons

I asked a number of things like

Do you have a cooling off period if you don't like there services for any reason IE slow connection loss of connection.

How long is the contract for.

Early termination fee.

2 people said we don't but sounded as they wasn't sure. and one made it clear they didn't.

So for them miss selling there products and not having enough knowledge about there own packages it makes me wounder how they get there job in the first place.

length of contract i was told between 18 months and 24 months but the package there offering was 24months with no cooling off time.

so once you got it you are stuck with it even if you have problems in the first month

And if you wanted to leave for any reason..
Broadband disconnection fee if wanting to leave early £70 and upwards
and line rental and services anything upto £100 disconnection fee and the rest of your line rental to pay..

My advise to anyone thinking of getting talktalk DONT.

Take it from someone who does a lot of research and investigating before hand.

Tips

1 Make sure you know what you want before calling.
Make a list of all computers,laptops gaming systems like ps3 xbox n so forth and all users who are going to be using the internet.

2 make sure you are speaking to someone who knows what there talking about and not just feature dumping to you and making things sound grate and you don't have a clue what there on about.

3 Know you rights make sure you know the length of the contract any connection fees and any late payment fees also early termination costs and also time to get connected..

4 Shop about

Don't just goto one internet provider and make assumptions thinking its a grate deal when 7 out of 10 times its not.

Also don't take the first deal you hear and them saying i can give you this now if you order. Its a trick for them to get you to go for the sale and often think grate i got a top deal untill you get your bills through and many different things.

They can say something like

oh and MR xxxx i can give you this and also add this FREE of charge and also discount you for 2 months and give you other grate stuff Providing you take this package now.

Its forcing the sale on you don't do it.

Just advise them yes its a very grate offer but i would like time to think about it and if they say whats to think about just say well there's a lot and put the phone down or ask them to call you back later.

Myself am now with a company called BETHERE one grate services i did have a few problems with when i first went to them and moved to another as they wouldn't fix the line.

I got the line fixed and due to sky having problems with them and billing i since moved back to BE and having no problems with them what so ever.

If anyone is thinking about leaving there provider or looking for a grate deal and i have a number of things i can give out to people who are interesting in becoming a customer with them feel free to make a friend request and i can give full info and also discounts and many different things in becoming a customer with them :)

Summary: Do not get talk talk unless you want many problems after
