My wife and I have now been customers of Telco for the last 3 years or so and up until the last week or so, we have had no problems whatsoever. More about that later in this opinion! For those of you that know my usual style of writing, you may find that this opinion is in a slightly different format to usual. (I simply wish to keep this one to the point.) I have been both a telco customer and agent for 3 years and the only good thing about them is that they save money on calls from your mobiles. For other calls they don't save you much! Reason - they,like BT charge a large minimum call charge of 4.7p (bt=5p). So for example, a telco week-end local call of 2 minutes duration at 0.75p per min, do they charge 1.5p? NO they charge 4.9p!!!! Just check your telco bills and look at all the min call charges oops forgot to warn you to sit down first! I have had an account with Telco now for about 4 years. After being talked into trying it many years ago, I have found it to be of great value, especially whilst using my mobile phone. The main premise of the company, along with many other similar of this type, is cheap phone calls. After dialling an 0800 number for access, you type in the number you wish to call, and as a result will be paying a pittance for the service! Daytime calls to landlines are sub 3p, going down to sub 1p off peak. I usually have to pay 35p during the day on my mobile tariff, so you can imagine how much I have been saving!
