That?s the only way I can think of describing telewest. I have been using there service now for the last couple o years and although there pricing is very good they have no idea about customer service. The problem with this company is that while everything is running smooth they are great but once you have a problem you are in for a nightmare to sort it out. The first problem you will come across is actually trying to get to talk to a customer service agent this can take anything from 5 mins right up to 1 hour plus. If you are lucky enough to get to speak to someone you will then find they are unable to solve your problem, at which point they will transfer you without warning to another queue which if visible would equal that for a new ride at Alton towers on a bank holiday Monday. Then after what could seem like a lifetime on the phone you will be either cut off or told your problem has been sorted which you will later find out to be untrue. One of my main moans at Telewest at the minute as well is that they have decided to update there digital service on screen display. The old system seemed to be fine but they must have seen some faults and decided rather than fix them to add a few more. The problem with the new system is that the channels change over really slow and it can take you ten minutes to change from channel 1 to 10. Another problem is that as it responds so slow you sometime find that it just flicks straight past the channel you require as you have pressed the button too many times. I have also had a problem with the telephone line telewest supply, for around two weeks I was experiencing a problem were I could not get a dial tone to dial out at all times. After speaking to Telewest they told me my phones were faulty after purchasing new ones and still experienced the same problem. So after speaking to Telewest again they informed me I should get them exchanged as they must also be faulty. This
carried on for a couple more weeks me arguing the fault was at their end they saying it was my handsets. Anyway after speaking to a neighbour I discovered he had the same problem so of course the problem was theirs. Anyway after speaking to Telewest again the decided it was a problem on their behalf and sorted the problem out. Anyway that?s enough moaning just remember don?t go with Telewest use BT.
