Hi, all
This a quick review, of a service that i have truly found to be fantastic!! I stumbled accross this one day when i was stuck for a sim card for my mobile. I was i tesco, and saw that they had a sim pack for £2.48!! Unbelievable, i thought, and i snapped one up straigood offersght away. Even if i was only to use it for a few months, then it would still be fantastic value.
So i got it home, and put it in my phone. It turned out that they were really good value indeed. 10p a minute calls, and 10p texts, though if you assign your favourite numbers on the website, or by phone at registration, texts wills only cost you 5p!! I thought that this was really competitive for a pay as you go.
Further down the line, we were plied with really good offers, after we had topped up a few times. For example, as long as you top up by £15 a month or more, you can get 150 free minutes, or 500 free texts!! Again i feel that this is a fantastic deal for a pay as you go mobile.
Coverage is 99% of the uk, as it works through the O2 network, and it is as good as any mobile network around. I have never had any hassle with it, and sparking from that. the sim that i took a chance on, has now since been my chosen network for three years!!!
Further more, i happened to be on the website to top up the other day. I noticed a tab that said log in for my offers. Intrigued, but sure there would be a catch, i did so. There was an option there for me to apply for a free upgrade voucher. I was thinking that this would be for free calls or texts, but to my surprise, it actually said that tesco were going to give me a voucher for £50 to purchase a new tesco mobile handset!!!
I was still looking for the catch. But ticked the box anyway. Two days later i recieved a voucher through the post, which was the same as any previous tesco voucher i had used before. I walked rather aprehensively into my local tesco, and looked at their range. The hansets were as cheap as any pay as you go outlet i had been to before, although the range was poorish. I eventually chose a samsung j600 in a nice shiny cobalt blue colour, and took it and my voucher to customer services. I presented them to the lady, and she scanned the voucher through, along with the phone. The retail value of the handset was £53.97, and the lady said to me "ok then sir, that will be £3.97 please", (the only time someone has called me sir before, without following it up with, your making a scene!).
What other pay as you go provider can better that. Free (nearly) handset, and the sim itself for only £2.48!! competitive, and no frills, it is the provider for me from now on!!
Recommended. G
P.S. i have published this review elsewhere on the net.
P.P.S. My wife has had a tesco sim for the same time as me, but would top up a wee bit more. She has just recieved a voucher for £90! Fantastic!
Summary: free calls, free texts, and a free handset on pay as you go? excellent.
