Disadvantages: Care ONLY about money , customer service staff are under-trained and overseas.
3 are quite frankly the most useless company on earth. Do not EVER take a contract with them. I made the mistake of taking up a contract for Mobile Broadband. The service has never worked , I have telephoned their customer services 20-30 times (at 10p per minute) and each time you have to explain the previous history of your case (they don't seem to have any record of it) to someone in India reading from a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' script. You have long winded robotic calls that seem to go on forever.
After many failed attempts at getting a service , I cancelled my direct debit and requested them to cancel my contract. Easier said than done. They refuse point blank and even say that I have usage on my account (not sure whose usage they are measuring on my account to be honest but it certainly isn't mine.)
Now I am being hounded for money on a daily basis (chasing money is something they excel in surpisingly) by both rude 3 staff and some company who claim to be a debt collections agency (whom I believe are another branch of 3 who exist just to intimidate you). They refuse to believe that my service has never worked even though I have been through all of their tests.
This company may be cheaper but they are cowboys. They should have had their license revoked.
I have a contract with Orange now and I also have my mobile with T Mobile. I would recommend either of these firms but PLEASE do not EVER take a contract up with 3. Save yourself all of the aggrevation you will get from this clueless company and pay a little bit more to get a proper service.
Summary: Clueless ,and pathetic , copany should be shut down

- 08/01/09 My boyfriend has a contract with 3 in my name (he didn't have a debit card when he took out out - we live together though so he can't run away!) We have also had problems but he now wants to go back with them as they have a £9/month tariff. I'm going to show him this and remind him how useless they are! Thank you! |
