Unfair poor reputation (Three (3))

Three doesn't seem to have a very good reputation amongst the dooyoo members so I am writing this review in defense of a company who has treated me superbly eversince I have been with them, which is over 3 years.

I first signed up to three mainly due the extremely cheap price plans and the value for money for handsets too. They were simply far cheaper than the other networks so it seemed a no brainer to go with them. Unfortunately I lost the handset I received in the price plan about a month after receiving it. However this was too much of a problem as when I rung three informing them of the lost handset they were able to quickly block the phone to prevent it being used by anyone else. They also sold me another handset at a much reduced price. A few months down the line they actually returned the handset to me after somebody had asked for the phone to be unblocked. Going beyond the call of duty it seems.

When it came to upgrading I had heard that other companies are always cheaper than the renewal. However this was not the case as not only did they reduce the cost of the price plan but they also gave me the top of the range phone. k800i free of charge even though there was supposed to be an extra cost for the handset. Another plus point was the person from the call centre. The call centre was in india and often there are complaints that this makes them more difficult to understand. This was not the case and they spoke extremely good english and were easier to understand than most of the local dialects in Britain. Not only that but they were incredibly helpful and reduced the price dramatically.

My new handset, the LG renoir has not been the most reliable as shown in one of my other reviews. However, this has not been too much off an issue as whenever it has broken all I have had to do is inform three who send a stamped package for me to send the phone to them in by next day delivery. As a result the whole process only takes 3-4 days and not only this but they do not quibble over whether it is me who has broken the phone as other networks do and simply fix or replace the phone for free. Of course if it obvious that the handset has been mistreated then they won't fix or replace it for free though.

Overall three is a fantastic network offering great handsets and price plans at very affordable prices and their customer service is second to none.
