Advantages: Ok service.

Disadvantages: The bills keep coming long after you end the contract.

Although I have been fairly happy as a Tiscali customer for a number of years, I recently thought "what's the point in paying £14.99 a month for a service that Orange provide for free."
Then my problems started, not as expected with Orange, but with Tiscali.
I am now happily with Orange Broadband, but Tiscali still insist I am with them, despite the fact I cancelled the service in November and was with Orange two weeks later. They can see from my account details that I can no longer connect through them. BUT the invoices keep coming, I get fobbed off with stupid reasons all the time, (it's Orange's fault, it's my fault, it's BT's fault) and now they are threatening me with the heavies. Good job I cancelled the Direct Debit ! If I don't log on for a while, send for the ISP Police, Tiscali will have had me done in ! You have heard of Hotel California - here's somewhere else you can never leave.

Summary: Don't do it.!!!!!!!

wenkinnoc - there was more info in the review than there was in your stupid comment.

Well. . to update, I got absolutely nowhere with Tiscali customer service, e.mails were ignored, phone calls were passed around, and I was basically laughed at.
Then a wonderful web site dedicated to orange problems put me in touch with The Internet Services Providers' Association (ISPA UK). I made my complaint to them and withing a day I had a phone call from Tiscali. I found I was due a small refund which eventually arrived. End of story.

I definitely won't be joining these - I'm on BT Broadband and that's pretty slow so looking for a new ISP provider. May go with Orange. Let them try to take you to court - they'll be laughed out!
