Now I know a lot of people have had problems with Tiscali, but I've been with them for nearly 3 years and throughout the whole of this period they've been ok, a few little problems here and there but you get that with every company unfortunately!

The biggest probelm was after my first 12 months were up, I wanted a better deal, so I phoned them up and threatened to cancel. They offered me £5 off the broadband package, reducing the price to £9.99 a month and free tiscali talk. Now I've got quite a good deal with BT for the phoneline, so I didn't want tiscali talk and told them that. They say thats fine and I sign up for another 12 months. 6 weeks later I get a bill from BT, I open it and all I've been charged for is the line rental. So I get on the phone and ask them why. They tell me another company has taken over my phoneline. I get on the phone to tiscali and yes, you guessed it, they are providing my phone line. After about half an hour on the phone, arguing with the advisor I ask to speak to the Manager. After another 20 minutes of arguing with him he agrees to refund the call charges, as if I'd been with BT, the charges would have been free. He tells me that they can't process the refund until after BT take over the phone line again. So 2 weeks later I ring tiscali and ask for the refund I was promised. Sorry, the manager says, we can't refund that for you. So I'm getting pretty annoyed at this point. Anyway, after another 10 minutes arguing and 10 minutes on hold he agrees to credit my account with £20. Aargh!!!

Reading it back, it looks like they aren't very good at all.....

The moreal of the story - My tiscali line etc is fine, its the customer service that needs improving!
