Anytime access for £15... What a deal (Tiscali (Lineone))

Disadvantages: Waiting in queue, No announcement of place in queue, No other disadvantages

I used to be a Worldonline user, until Tiscali decided to take over their business. All users of Worldonline were automatically transfered to Tiscali.

Tiscali give you three subscription choices:
- Tiscali Classic
This is the same type of service that the original FreeServe provided. There are no monthly fees, and you just pay for what you use. You pay for internet access through your telephone bill (e.g. 1p a minute evening and weekends, 3p a minute weekdays)

- Tiscali Off Peak
Tiscali Off Peak gives you free internet access during evenings and weekends, with no call charges during this time. All you pay is £9.99 a month to Tiscali. This is a good choise if you are at work during the day, and want to use unlimited internet access during the evening and weekend. With this option you cannot use the internet with no call charges during the weekday.

- Tiscali Daytime
Tiscali Daytime gives you free internet access during weekdays only, with no call charges during this time. All you pay is £9.99 a month to Tiscali. This is a good choise if you work during the night shift at work, and want to use unlimited internet access during the weekdays. With this option you cannot use the internet with no call charges during the evening and weekend.


- Tiscali Anytime
Tiscali Anytime gives you free unlimited internet access any time any day. You can use it during the day, evening, weekend, any time you want to without the worry of having any expensive call charges on your next telephone bill. All you pay is £14.99 a month to Tiscali. This is a good choice if you dont work any particular time, or dont work at all. You can surf till, well, whenever you want.


As a Tiscali Customer, I chose the Tiscali Anytime option.

As far as reliability and disconnections, well, the reliability is fantastic, I get connected straight away, even in the busy hours. The disconnections do not
even exist. I even testing the disconnection theory, and left the internet running for more than 24 hours with no disconnections at all.

I couldnt be happier with the service that Tiscali provide.

I did read in one of the previous opinions about the Tiscali helpline, and waiting ages in the queue. I have also experienced since long wait. It would be better if Tiscali installed a system to tell the caller how many callers are before him/her, so they know how much longer they are likely to have to wait. Worldonline used to have this feature on their helpline service.
