The stress that Tiscali has caused me seems unreal. The problem is their billing, they have been charging me large amounts of money unrelated to the £15 a month i had agreed for their Anytime service, i have just found that after writing a letter with proof of the £90 they charged me 3 months ago, they have charged me £44.94 on two seperate credit ... (This is my first negative opinion on dooyoo - let's hope all goes well :) ) 3 years ago, I was introduced to the internet with Freeserve. Yet, being a mid-teenager, and no doubt interested in all the multimedia on hand to offer, and pressed to keep aware of current affairs for my economics course, the then-traditional pay-as-you-go ... I once asked Tiscali why they cut me off after two hours, the response was, "To better our service to all our customers" Things got steadily worse, it took longer to log in, disconnected in minutes even seconds, email left unread because I couldn't access it. The last straw for me was when way back in October 2001, Tiscali sent me an ... Read the complete review

Like many people, I was a happy user of lineone when Tiscali took over the service that they offered. At first I got a little mixed up & thought that World Online had taken over before I realised that Tiscali had taken over them too. Is this a good thing? I wondered, after all, it seemed that every good service provider had previously been taken ... Read the complete review

I have been with TISCALI off peak for 5 months. This is my first ISP and I like the service fine. I get satisfactory, reliable connection every time and they are continuously upgrading their services and facilities. The search engine works well too and the home page is interesting and informative. I am however annoyed and disappointed that they ... Read the complete review

Lineone used to be very good. Well, pretty good (element of rose tinted specs I guess). However, since Tiscali took it over it's been downhill all the way especially these past few months. You can expect no connections, slow connections, disconnections, dire (and I mean dire) technical support that don't read the ... Read the complete review

It saddens me somewhat that so many have opted for the ferocious corporate monolith that is AOL(America OnLine)Time Warner as their ISP, not least because their adverts - with that ghastly uptight lady with the rigid hair, clipped tone and pulsating dress - drive me mad. I had also heard bad things about the AOL service itself, as well as ... Read the complete review

For the first time I'm going to write a totally unbiased op, I'm just going to tell you what I know about Tiscali. I 've been using the internet on and off for a few years but am still only an intermediate, I learned most of the small amount of stuff I know from my partner who is a bit of an internet know it all. When he ... Read the complete review

Like someothers I was first a Libertsurf customer (£20 for unlimted access from Comet - pretty good deal) before being transferred onto Tiscali's megre offering. Instead of being transferred onto one of their pay-per-month scheme's I'd thought I test them on the "pay as you go" Tiscali Classic. What a let down. ... Read the complete review

Many British ISP’s have now been taken over by this Italian service provider. Who hasn’t yet mucked things up. Here are just two great services. Line One.Net You would expect good service, fast connection speeds, and E-mail from any good ISP, and that’s what you get from Line one. As well as all this you ... Read the complete review

I have been using Freedom 24 ISP for a year, before they were brought over by Tiscalli, and the service feel like anything. First it was impossible to connect, and when I did connect they cut me of within 5 minutes. Finally I gave up and cancelled my service which meant phoning them up and waiting in the queue for 1 hour. Finally I disconnected ... Read the complete review

Having taken over a number of smaller ISP's Tiscali appears to becoming one of the "big boys". They now give away sign up discs and extensively advertise their Classic and Anytime services. What they don't tell you about is Tiscali 50 a service which gives you 50 hours of Internet use at any time of the day or night for only ... Read the complete review

LineOne is an ISP for which you pay £9.99 a month and get unmetered offpeak access. Peak access costs only 1p per minute. These are reasonable rates and well worth the price. This is fine for someone like me who only needs the Internet in the evening after a long hard day’s work! The chances of em using the net during the day are very slim. ... Read the complete review

I have been using the internet since it first started almost, from the very early days, where there was no porn, no online stores, not big chat sites, in fact not much at all. My experience with LineOne began in April of 1998 while I was in America. I had just discovered the chat rooms and quickly made friends with several British people. I was quite taken by one in particular and a relationship blossomed. We spent every chance we could on line together. And soon the frustrations hit. At least once a day/evening I ...
