Which package you choose is dependant on your budget and the amount of downloaded material you have each month. I use the 3Gb package and have done so for a year. Here is a brief outline of the three packages they offer and what you can expect for your money.


The 3GB package at 14.99 a month is for average music download users.

The 6GB package at 17.99 a month is for medium download users of music and film download users.

The 20GB package at 24.99 a month is for the seriously insane internet downloader who would download files 24/7 continuosly.

If your time is precious then the 6GB and 20GB packages allow faster download rates than the 3GB package and as such are ideal for serious downloader of music and films, ect.


For those who detest long term contracts you can give one months notice to cancel your virgin package. Each package comes with good instructions and a free modem and accessories, and the connection is reliable and fast in my own experience.

One cautionary final word. Virgin state in there terms of condition that they maintain the right to charge a discretionary 50 pounds termination charge, but fail to state under what conditions this charge may apply. So I would advise that you ask them before signing up to any package with them concerning this discretionary termination charge.

Summary: Non contractual, reliable and competitive broadband provider.
