Advantages: Internet price is decent, on demand service on tv
Disadvantages: TV channel's arent that great, rude staff, prices over the top,
I was a customer when it was NTL and still a customer to Virgin Media i can say Virgin is not that good of a company it's internet is fine i have no problems with that at all. The internet price been about £19 a month is alright.
Virgin TV is the main problem for starters the lack of channels it just feels like CSI is on all the time and with channels just disappearing quite a bit becomes shocking and annoying. Phoning Virgin Media up to pay a bill became a problem after reading out my card number a guy put the phone down on us I just did not understand why your trying to pay and he puts the phone down strange. We finally got the bill paid from a women who answered that time.
Now lets get back on with Virgin TV it does offer some good TV with the one demand service where you can watch TV and rewind it and pause it's pretty good. The main problem is we have to keep restarting our TV box with it now going on to certain channels correctly the time on the box always gets stuck it's annoying because we can't view shows until we switch off the TV box. Sometimes watching the TV it becomes very bad the screen breaks up for some unknown reasons.
Another thing we were told from Virgin Media that we would get TV, Phone and Internet for all for £30 but we never we got charged for a guy to come out and fix the box in Virgin never told us that. Then when the bill came on they charged us £60 and we do not even have Sky Sports or Sky Movies. This company is expensive seen as when it was NTL we were only paying £20 a month for Internet and Phone. Also when Virgin switched over we got no information on it no letter at all they could of at least told us. The staff at Virgin Media seem happy for you to join them but once you do they seem they just don't care about you and give you bad service with rude staff. I was happy with NTL but i don't Virgin Media at all I may think of switching to Sky.
Summary: Beware of Virgin Media because it's not all that great
