I think Virgin Media is fantastic, far better than anything else out there that your have to pay for i.e. Sky!

I have always had sky as I lived in an area which I could not get Virgin Media, and always thought it was good but expensive. Not only did you have to pay for the channels but also a bt line and your calls on top of that and then your broadband ....if you wanted that also. This ammounted to a great deal of cash.

Since then Sky has released an offer where broadband is included and selected channels but i believe you need an active bt line (which involves a 18 month contract...which i didnt want).

I was really pleased when i moved house and got a flyer through about virgin. The deal seemed excellent....for 30 pounds a month i get 2mb broadband which is not shared with anyone and is solely for myself with unlimited downloads (subject to the fair usage policy) my phone line and free weekend calls, also I get a large tv package with all the on demand features (watching tv which has been taped to the virgin box already for you) and many many music videos that you can watch for free anytime you want. I cannot fault my package.

In order to get this package I had to sign up for a 12 month contract but this was no where near as bad as 18 month, I have been completley happy with the service, my internet connection is always extremely fast and my total bill always comes in at under 40 pounds per month for everything, that even includes my calls (and im never ever off the phone).

For an extra ten pounds a month we could have opted for a virgin mobile also...but we decieded against this as we already have mobiles.

The customer service helplines are really helpful and you are not placed on hold for hours at a time. I have only had to call them once as i wanted to add free voicemail to my account , I have had no problems and have not needed to contact them.

A great deal for anyone who does not want to go with BT.
