Virgin Media is a company that provides one with useful services such as telephone (mobile and landline), internet and television.
Having read lots of positive reviews on the company, on moving to my new home I chose to give them a go. I ordered the package that I required which is the bundle of TV and Broadband (£31 per month by Direct Debit).
There are numerous packages available, or you can create your own, however this option often works out more expensive than if you choose a pre made bundle.

I chose the self install option, which arrived on the date I selected. So far so good. I opened the pack and tried to connect, however realised that my wall socket was not suitable. So I rang the contact number and the lady was very helpful and arranged for a technician to come out.
Once he arrived, he sorted the wall socket and connections and then told me to contact them again later on and the next day to make sure things were working properly. From here, things went downhill.

Since the techinican came and installation, I have not had the correct TV service, in fact the service is worse than my previous freeview with only around 4 channels out of the 100 or so I am suppost to have.
Not only this, the internet only seems to work when the TV is turned off. Bizarre.

On trying to fix the problem, I have called the numbers provided only to be transferred or put on hold to the wrong departments. The number of people I have spoken to since installation have seemed to have no clue on what they are speaking about and as if they are reading off a script.
I have sent 5 emails in regards to this matter, only to have a response to one 3 weeks later, when it is claimed they respond in 48 hours.

It has now been a month since installation and I still have no TV channels. I am rather infuriated at the difficulty it has been to try to fix such an issue and am very disappointed in the customer service.
It seems that they are very helpful in trying to get you to join, and once you are in that you are ignored or treated ridiculously. I am not impressed at all.

They have not provided my for what I asked for and am expected to pay for, and I feel their customer serivce is extremely poor after one has joined. Beware, they will reel you in.

What I had high hopes for, turned out to be rather disappointing, and it is not a company I would recommend.

I have the phone/broadband package and it has been excellent. My TV service comes free as part of this. I think you are being too nice! Also - I have had 2 virgin installations, and I have always got them free (after some negotiation). You should try for this.

Good grief thats terrible. Stop your direct debit they will soon be on the phone to you sometimes thats the only way as they get informed instantly about it. I too have Virgin media just the phone package and broadband and find them excellent. Sorry you are having a problem with them as I have always found virgin great.
