Advantages: Average connection is as stated, TV and telephone in one
I recently paid £35 deposit to Virgin Media for Phone, TV and Cable Internet, 10mb service. My deposit was paid on 8 June 2010 and I was informed that the engineers would come at 10am on 11 June.
The engineers arrived at 9am, one hour early. They then plugged my phone in and made sure that was working, then they set up the TV Box and made sure that was working.
Once that was done, I was asked if I was able to set up the wireless router myself and I said I could. They gave me the router, and I had simple instructions to follow and set it up within 5 minutes.
On average, the speed I receive is 10.18 mb and have not had any problems with the service at all so far. Also on the 11 June, I had my deposit credited to my account as there was free connection. I have used the BBC Iplayer on the Virgin TV Box as well which also worked fine.
I personally would recommend the service to others.
Summary: TV, Telephone and Cable Internet all at reasonable cost
