First of all I would just like to say it was the biggest mistake I ever made renewing my contract with Vodafone. After having problems with them the first time round I don't know why I did learn my lesson. This company is extremely greedy and will do everything they can to get every single penny from you so do allot of research on the company before even thinking of taking a contract with them and even then a high percentage of the reviews will be bad. Every time I call their customer services department they just can't even be bothered to help I don't think I've once rated them a high mark because they are just a pain in the backside. So if you have a problem be prepared for an extremely lengthy and stressful phone call and even after then your no further forward. Sure enough though if your willing to increase your tariff they will find it easy enough to understand and will be more than happy to take your money. I have had several issues with this company. I recently went into my local Vodafone shop and asked if I could have a copy of my signed contract and he advised me that I couldn't and that I would have to call up and speak to customer services as they don't deal with it.. I was furious regardless if I call up or go in store they should help me that's what they are there for and that's what I pay for!! Well here we go again how unhelpful and full of lies as a few minutes later a colleague came over to advise I could get one and it would be delivered to the shop.. Well thanks Vodafone you employed some experienced people here! And it just goes on and on. Please don't go near this company. My biggest regret!
I have been with Vodafone for 10 years and always paid my bills on time with no quibble, but Vodafone are now getting very greedy.They offer an add-on called the Non-Geographical numbers add-on which covers up to 300 mins per month of any 0800 and 0845 calls you make - but not 0844 !!!They do not make this very clear, because they plan to fleece you of your hard earned cash.My Vodafone price plan had unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 3Gb of data per month for around £50.I also had the NGN add-on.My most recent bill for 1 month is £170 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Guess how? Yup, 0844 charges.As so many companies switching to 0844 numbers now, they are hard to avoid.You are better off avoiding doing business with Vodafone, unless you have very deep pockets.
I have an issue with Vodafone. We have a business account and at times had up to 20 different numbers with them. Over time this has been reduced and we sent emails to our account manager to cancel contracts and these were acknowledged and agreed. Like many people, we were pushed into going onto electronic invoices some time ago and they don't even send an email with the statements, you need to login and view them. And the system is cumbersome to use. We were doing a review in the last few days of the current numbers on the account and in looking at bills (we had to request for Vodafone to send these to us), noticed several numbers that we had requested to be cancelled were still active. The first was agreed to be cancelled in September 2011 and we had an email acknowledging this was to be cancelled. It was not! They have continued charging £15 plus VAT a month for over 2 years. The second was to be cancelled in April 2012 and again, was acknowledged. They continued charging £35 plus VAT per month for the last 18 months. I spent a lot of time in the last few days going through old emails and communications to prove that we had cancelled the numbers and presented these to our account manager. Today she wrote back to say "I have looked at the emails you have sent over and spoken at length to our customer relations team, as a result we will offer a goodwill credit of £90 + VAT. Which is the equivalent to 6 months line rental, the reason for this amount is you also have a responsibility to check your invoices each month. I have requested the credit and it will be applied to your account in the next 2 working days." The same on the second number "The same as above with the credit being £210+VAT." Extraordinary. It is absolutely black and white that they agreed to cancel the numbers and did not. Yet they are attempting to turn this around onto us and say you should check your bills. Outrageous! We have been spending on average £1500 a month or more for many years and this is how loyalty is rewarded. Incredible. Also, it is not like we have had a lot for our money. We rarely if ever used our hardware fund etc. I am outraged at how we are being treated. Vodafone just don't give a damn and I read similar stories on here and places so this is not an isolated incident. I don't know what we can do but I will be making all efforts to publicise how Vodafone have treated us. And of course looking to move all our business as Vodafone don't deserve it. RGW
Vodafone one net have caused me nothing but trouble in the first year of starting up my business! I need to be on call for staff and clients at all times but calls drop off all the time, i get text messages late, people cant leave a message, i don't get an alert that i have a voicemail message and so on. The customer service and technical team are useless and never resolve and problems, i might as well be talking to a brick wall. I can't wait to get out of my contract, even though this will mean me having to reprint all my business stationary with a new number (apparently i can't take the landline number with me).
Vodafone sold me an European package which included roaming charges, first four months was fine but after that they've started charging for EU calls. After many months of calls, emails to customer service, problem still not resolved and they are still charging me. Customer service is terrible, every time I deal with them, they try to sell me another package.Don't use them!!
I had a three year contract with Vodaphone. They refused customer service for the entire period and then pestered me when my contract was up. They also refused to pass on my number to my new provider! I'm still trying to get it and it's been a month!
Vodafone has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced from any company. I was offered an upgrade which when received was only 8gb whilst my old phone was 16gb. I sent it back after one day and there the drama enfolded. I have spent over 6 hours on the phone on several separate occasions to try to sort this issue. Yesterday I gave up and contacted Vodafone to cancel my contract - they did not even ask why - they do not value their individual customers and I think their BIG revenue is corporate hence the appalling service. To add fuel to the fire...the Vodafone customer assistance told me yesterday that my contract would be cancelled and would come into affect within 2 hours (I have a transcript of this conversation)...needless to say today it was still active! Called again today to find out why and was told that they did not have this on record but not to worry as the current operator would do the cancellation for me then. I asked to speak to a manager and was told I would get a call back from the manager to explain why this has happened...LOL of course that did not happen either... The operators do not seem to know what they are doing and are constantly giving incorrect information or not fulfilling what they are telling me they will do. They are also rude and condescending. It astounds me that they get away with this shoddy service. I will never ever use a Vodafone service again. (Not that they particularly care!) Please be very careful when signing up with this network as the stress and time wasted is not worth it!!!!
Vodafone is a well known mobile network in the UK. I have had experience using this network since 2008- present, so I am going to talk about my person experience with Vodafone. Customer service/staff: Whilst this is an excellent network offering some great pay as you go perks for example Vodafone Freebiez (which I will go into further below) and some cheap contracts, the shop I personally go to is extremely busy so much so that people are sometimes given tickets. This isn't good for people who want advice about a phone they already own with vodafone, or people looking to buy new phones, because when the shop is this busy customers can't be given immediate service. However I have found their online chat form very fast and useful. Although there isn't a link to it when browsing the website you sometimes find it pop up. I think it's designed to help people pick out a phone deal, and I have a feeling they are commissioned from a sale. The telephone customer service is also very good and I've found them to be quite helpful whenever I've had any problems. I personally do not rate the service in store, but I would use it if there was a problem with a phone and needed help. The phones: There are a range of pay as you go phones from blackberrys, iphones, nokia, sony ericsson, samsung and more. They update and get rid of old phones to make space for new ones every so often. I have been browsing for a new phone since last year and they haven't added that many that I'm interested in. I think the selection could be better. The contract phones offer a cheaper monthly price, which you have to pay by direct debit.. these contracts tend to last from anything to 12 to 24 months. I don't have any experience with Vodafone contracts, but I get the feeling it works out more in the long run. Vodafone pay as you go: The great thing about pay as you go is the new 'Vodafone Freebiez' rewards system. Each time you top up you get a code which you enter online to build up points which you can use towards vouchers for a range of high street chains and there are also some other rewards such as thorntons sweets, mobile phones, earphones, a weekend break etc. You are able to grab or grow. 'Grab' gives you an instant reward: be warned-most are not worth it; 20% off jewelry at website i've never heard of? No thanks. However you do occasionally get some good ones! for example 50 free txts, £3 free vodafone credit, a thorntons sweet voucher to name a few that I've grabbed. This replaced 'Bonus bank' which gave you credit each time you topped up. I loved this because it really came in handy but I suppose people feel as though they're 'getting something back' more with this points system. They also have a great IOU service which gives you £3 free credit when you've run out of credit from your top up. The only downside is next time you top up you pay the £3 back plus a 30p service charge, so if for example you went and bought a top up for £5 you'd barely have any credit despite just putting a fiver on there. It does come in handy though. You can add extras such as these by creating a vodafone.co.uk account with your sim number, or by calling 2345 etc. Vodafone offer some great freedom packs. I'm currently using a £20 one which lasts for 30 days and gives you 3,000 txts and 300 mins. This works out cheaper than constantly topping up. Then if your freedom freebie was to run out, you'd simply top up again like normal. Once you add packs like these you can't take them off unfortunately. I made that mistake once by buying a pack I didn't really want and was stuck for it for 30days. Vodafone family is another great service. It allows you to add group members for just a fiver for 30 days and you can call each other for free for up to an hr at a time. This is a great idea and I used it personally when i used to have someone I rung a lot that was on Vodafone. Vodafone also have txt and web freebies, international call freebies and many more. You can order free SIMS and experience them yourself. Overall I rate Vodafone. I find their pay as you go service great. However I think they could work on adding more to their stores. Vodafone are one of the more well known networks but my experience with them has been much better than other countries such as orange. Services- They offer pay as you go and contract services. I am on a two year contract with them which is coming to an end. I probably wouldn't recommend their pay as you go because there are cheaper networks that offer better rewards. There contracts however are good and they have lots of different deals available. One good thing about Vodafone is how god there signal is, I would say they are the best network for this and I can get signal pretty much anywhere i go. If you cant get a proper signal then you often get emergency only signal which means you can dial 999. The internet is also good and runs reasonably quickly, I guess this also depends on what phone you have though. Cost- they offer some good deals on contact, I currently pay 30 pounds a month for 600minutes and unlimited texts plus a free Samsung phone, I know this sounds quite a lot but I got a free PlayStation 3 with it so that is why. They also offer 30day rolling contracts which cost a bit more but you have the option to cancel when you want. Most of there contacts include a free phone and you can get other things like PlayStations and tvs, they also sometimes give you cash when you take out a contract with them. They are probably quite similar in price to other networks and its worth checking them all out. Customer service- I am always forgetting to pay my phone bill but they do send you a polite text to remind you. If you don't pay on time they will cut you off like all other phone companies, but as soon as you pay your bill they will put your phone back on. If you don't pay your phone bill on time and leave it for a few weeks they will ring you but I have found them to be polite and understanding. Ease of use- they have lots of branches around that you can call into for help, you can also ring them or email them. You can also look at your account on-line and see how much our bill is and when you need to pay it by, this is useful because it allows you to keep on top of things and monitor how much you are spending. I think Vodafone is a good network and would recommend it but also check out the others as well.
I've been with vodafone for a couple of years. For the price I'd say overall that they are all right. The customer service isn't great, but that's true of any large company. Their deals are competitive. The staff seem genuinely concerned in helping you even if their system isn't working, for which they are usually ready to apologise. Reception is usually OK for me. I don't have any major complaints.
I had been a customer of O2 for quite a few years and was happy with them but decided to shop around for a cheaper contract 2 years ago as I was returning to University and needed to watch the pennies. At the time, the best I could find was a 24 month Vodafone contract which included 300 texts, 100 minutes and a free C510 phone for just under £10 a month. The phone was certainly not top of the range but that is hardly to be expected for a contract only charging £10 a month. It did, however, do everything that you needed it for and more including taking photographs, being capable of accessing the internet and having room for a memory card to hold all your photos and music. The phone is still retailing for over £100 over 2 years later, so I thought this was all a bit of a bargain for such a small amount each month. I signed up online, requesting my PAC code from O2 so that I could keep my number and everything went smoothly and according to plan. On receiving my first bill, however, I was a bit confused as I was charged more than the agreed contract but I soon found out this was VAT bumping the cost up. Fair enough, I should have read the small print and noticed that the contract price was before VAT but at the same time, I did feel that Vodafone should have been perhaps a little more transparent with its pricing. However, it wasn't a major issue, just a small annoyance and so I didn't make a complaint. Mobile companies are always competing with each other by giving away prizes for continued loyalty or for top ups on pay as you go and on Vodafone this comes in the form of Vodafone VIP for contract customers. Vodafone VIP gives customers access to competitions to win prizes related to fashion, sports events and festivals. Neither of these things interests me and so I've never paid a great deal of attention to the occasional texts Vodafone sends me on this. Reception with Vodafone was good but I wouldn't say it was any better or worse than reception I'd had with any other companies I'd used. I'm a keen amateur archaeologist and often find myself in remote places with a trowel in hand volunteering on excavations and with both Orange and O2 I found myself able to get reception even in such remote places. This year on excavation in Northumberland I found my reception with Vodafone slightly patchy but not awful. The Vodafone website is quite a busy place and not always easy to navigate, although, to be fair, I find this with most mobile suppliers websites these days (perhaps I'm getting old). You can check your bill and account online and see how much of your allowance that you've used but I tend to find this function is a bit hit or miss whether you get it working or not. I find the MyAccount section of Vodafone a bit difficult to navigate at times to find the information I need but perhaps this is due to me not visiting it often and not being very familiar with it. After my two years with Vodafone, my contract was coming to an end this month. I hadn't been disappointed with Vodafone but neither had I been massively impressed and decided I might try to find another company to go with. I'd been given an HTC Desire Z as a gift off my sister and was now feeling that unlimited internet was something that I wanted built into my account so I scoured the net and decided that Giff Gaff had the best offers. I contacted Vodafone and asked them for the date of the end of my contract and for a PAC code to transfer my number over. This was a bit of a rigmarole as they asked me to email them back quite a bit of information about myself to prove it was me, some of it quite obscure, which was a pain but I suppose it is important for security. On receipt of this information, they immediately replied with the information I asked for. But this is where they really impressed me. When I'd left O2 I'd secretly hoped that they would have tried to convince me to stay by offering me a better contract that would beat what Vodafone was offering but, instead, they simply just let me go without any effort. Of course, it is easier to stay with the company you're already with rather than messing around changing things over if you are relatively happy with the company and you're only leaving for a better deal elsewhere. A few days after emailing Vodafone for my PAC code I received a phone call from the most friendly customer service person that I've ever spoken to. He asked me why I was leaving and when I told him it was for a cheaper offer elsewhere, he asked what that offer was and who it was with. I told him that it was unlimited texts, unlimited internet and 250 minutes for £10 with Giff Gaff and as Giff Gaff is pay as you go, I'd also have the £10 credit left to spend. He then said that would I be willing to stay if he could beat or rival this and I said I would consider it so he offered me 3000 texts, 500MB of internet and 600 minutes for £10 a month including VAT. Ok, the offer with Giff Gaff was probably slightly better but at the same time it would have involved changing over to another network, manually changing my internet settings and having to buy my 'goodybag' every month and top up my phone rather than just having my Direct Debit set up taking my £10 out my bank every month for Vodafone. I agreed to stick with Vodafone and he even let me choose my contract length. I would have thought for such a great deal they'd have wanted me to stay with them at least another 24 months but they said I could have it for 12 months if I'd rather. The phone call was at about 11am and they told me they'd switch me over to my new contract at midnight which they did. Needless to say, I'm really pleased with Vodafone and the offer they gave me as well as the helpfulness of their customer service staff and would recommend them to friends.
When I had a yearly contract with Vodafone, one of their employees messed up on registering me, so I could not view my bills online for over half a year. I kept calling customer services and they kept telling me that it was some temporary technical difficulty affecting everybody. When I told them I was leaving, they sorted out the problem within a day, which they could have done months ago. I re-registered as a pay monthly customer (yes, I know, I should have left then). The charges were supposed to be £25. The bills were way above that. When a bill arrived for £110, I gave a month's notice to leave. I paid the bill online and got a confirmation that my payment was being processed. Then Vodafone texted me asking to pay my bill. I called to say that I paid and got a confirmation email from them. They emailed to see the confirmation, which I sent. They kept asking me to resend them their own email about 3 times. Then they said that it was a technical error, the payment didn't go through and I had to pay again. I asked them to send me a confirmation that I won't be charged twice, which they did... Well, they didn't charge me twice, they charged me 3 times! I paid with a credit card and asked for the money to be refunded on it. They told me the money would be there in 8-10 days. It wasn't. I told them and they said they would definitely refund it in another 8-10 days... Lie! They took my card details and promised the refund 5 or 6 times now, and I still don't have my money. Now they are saying they are having "technical difficulty" (again!) with refunds to credit cards (but no problems with overcharging them x3 times!). If they did, why lie that the money would be there in 8-10 days?! Apparently they are trying to refund my money again at the moment, but I think if they don't, they are out of chances, I'll just contact the police.
I have been with Vodafone for over a year and what can I say, they are fantastic! I have never been let down by them. Many people can be negative towards the call centre staff but in my opinion they are great and are very helpful and friendly. They don't over complicate things like other call centres, they aim to deal with your query there and then. Throughout my 15 months at Vodafone I have only ever had to ring the customer service centre once to put an add on to make my calls cheaper while I was in Spain for 2 weeks. Throughout my stay in Spain, I received about 5 texts off Vodafone advising the call charges and iternet usage costs for using my phone there. I thought this was great as I felt Vodafone cared through their communication. If any changes get made to any prices and priceplans throughout your contract Vodafone will always make you aware beforehand, that is why I trust them. They also offer add ons to your account that would suit your needs and save you a bit of money which is great! The network coverage on Vodafone is amazing! I can call, text and use my internet whenever I need to without the annoyance and frustration of the NO SERVICE sign that comes up. I mean like who wants to be with a telecommunications company and pay what £40 a month for a service that can't be used? Vodafone offer everything anyone could need and you will get your moneys worth. I would definately recommend Vodafone to anyone looking for great network coverage, excellent customer service and great deals with a brand who they can trust.
I joined vodafone at the beginning of the year and it's been a disaster from the start. The signal disappears so often it's untrue. The call centre staff are idiots and don't even appear to try and understand the problems I'm experiencing. I've bought a 'pay as you go' O2 phone to make sure I can keep phone conversations going when the vodafone signal is rubbish. this means I'm beginning to mak more calls through O2 than I am with vodafone. Whatever you do DON'T GO WITH VODAFONE WHATEVER THEY OFFER YOU!!!!!
I have been with vodafone for 18 months, having defected from orange, whom I had been with for years. I chose vodafone, as I believed them to offer the best coverage, connection retention and overall customer service. I have been disappointed and frustrated with the truth. I drop calls regularly, and have found the 3g network to be very poor. For work I have a phone on o2 and their signal is by far more reliable and by far better quality. My 3g network is stronger, available more often, and I never drop a call. I feel that vodafone have lost sight of their quality network. A few years ago, they were the best, but not now. Go with o2 - much better quality network; particularly if you are after a 3g network, and to be honest, they appear to be cheaper. Sorry vodafone - you have been beaten into second, or even third place now behind o2, orange & t-mobile.
