WAP problem (Vodafone Network)

Advantages: Good services e.g. Free Weekends Disadvantages: Very Poor customer service
I have been with Vodafone since 2003. They offer such great services such as Free Weekend Calls and Texts when you top up and spend £5 credit, which I think is fantastic. Unfortunately I have had several problems in the past. At the beginning of 2007 I got given a phone (Nokia 6230) by a relative which had been on contract. I was on Pay As You Go. It worked just as it should, but unfortunately I was never able to download content from the internet such as games, applications etc., and browsing was quite slow too. I must've literally rang up the helpline (191) about 15 times looking for a solution to this. 10 times, I was sent internet settings and told everything would be fine, but it never worked. The other five times I was given different excuses e.g. "The system is being updated" or "It'll work again tomorrow because there are problems with the system. at 25p a call, it did run up a bill, not much but still a waste of money if it doesn't solve the problem. I also took it into a Vodafone store on about 3 occasions, again I was given internet settings which never worked. I bought a new phone (Sony Ericsson K800i) in July this year, and it has worked fine ever since, with the only problems being self inflicted. Summary: OK on the whole |
