Advantages: Great customer service, competitive deals, great phones
Disadvantages: You will not automatically get a good deal, you will need to be prudent to get it!
Vodafone is one my best rated networks in the UK. I know a lot of people have had their fair share of misery with this company, but my experience has been amazing. I have been with Vodafone for about 5 years now and all I must say is "Very Impressed". They have an amazing focus on customer service and will do anything to retain a customer!
I do however believe that Vodafone only really care about the high end users and do not respect the low end users as much! I know this because I have been at both ends at some point! This I do not appreciate and I have voiced my opinion to them. They took it very well and ensured that I was never treated that way again! Again, impressive!
I have always had a contract phone usually for either 12 months or 18 months and I always got a good deal on their phones. They are known for being slightly more expensive, but you can really negotiate with them!
My last contract was up for renewal in November. I normally spend about £35-£40 a month. I was keen on reducing this with the whole credit crunch thing going on. So I decided that I would go for a sim only contract as my phone from my previous contract was still in great condition!
They offered me 250 minutes without a new phone and a 12 month contract for £15. I thought that this deal was ridiculous. I said that I wanted to shop around further because I did not like what I was hearing! It was at this stage brought down to £12. I still decided that it was a bit too high and wanted to shop around.
I went onto moneysavingexpert.com (I have reviewed this one too, amazing site) and realised that if I took a sim only contract via their website, I was entitled to a £90 cashback while paying £15 a month for my 250 minutes! The only disadvantage with going for that deal was that I could not keep my old number!
So I decided to use this as my haggling technique and mentioned the deal to them! The price immediately dropped to £10. I was amazed as I was happy to pay £10! At this stage, I did the math and I still found myself better off with the moneysavingexpert deal. I did casually mention that this deal still was not good enough and I hoped that the price would drop to £8, but guess what? He said the best he could do was £7 and that will be a deal! I instantly agreed for 250 minutes for the price of £7. I think that's AMAZING!!
I don't think I can ever leave Vodafone as they are so good! Network connectivity is great, amazing broadband deals, great customer service...what more can you ask for!!
Summary: Try and it will not let you down!
