Advantages: A good moblie network.

Disadvantages: You're in trouble if you got a problem

On Watchdog BBC1 Monday 4th May, Vodafone was one of five worst companies in terms of how long it takes on average to answer customers calling customer service, the other culprits being Sky, BT, Tiscali and Three. To be fair Vodafone were not the worst of this bunch, both Sky and BT performed even more abysmally, where they did excel was that they manage to not only keep you hanging on for too long but more than a third of calls placed were cut off before being answered by a human. For heavens sake these companies are in the business of communications, why can their customers not communicate with them!!!
This is not a new problem, we have all been there hanging on listening to endless music, punctuated now and then with that inane message "we value your custom, thank for waiting". If they value us as customers why don't they answer are calls? I've done the rounds of most of the major providers and none of them are great. Surely they should be able to grasp that by ringing customer service you are looking for, err, service!
On the positive side I have had very little problem with Vodafone as a mobile service provider; coverage is good, service availability excellent and all in all I have nothing to complain about. Which is just as well because I have had the unfortunate experience of trying to contact them on some support issues in the past and it only served to ring alarm bells! It is evident I am not with a company who have their support service running on well oiled wheels. More like the wheels are coming off!
Ah well only got a year to go on my contract, who should I try next!!! Maybe my fellow Dooyoo'ers can help when the time comes.

Summary: Service good. Support abysmal!!!
