Advantages: Stop the clock, no roaming charges
Disadvantages: Shocking customer relations, poor signal
Well all I can say on this one is steer well clear.
Whilst I will cover myself and say that your mileage may vary, our experience with Vodafone has been very negative. We have tended to find that the signal is very poor around our area (Lincolnshire), to the point where at the end of my wife's 18 month contract we have had at least 2 phone calls from Vodafone to discuss renewals, both of which were cut off due to said poor signal!
To follow this one through we went into town to the vodafone store where we were told that we could either write in or cancel over the phone, we tried two days later to cancel by phone and were told that our 30 days notice HAD to be given in writing which needless to say, although stated in contract, left a bad taste in our mouths from our retail visit.
On the positive side, Vodafone do offer some excellent options, inluding Stop the clock (pay for the first few minutes of a call and get the rest of the hour free, making inclusive minutes go a long long way, and the abolishing of summer roaming charges in Europe is something that hopefully other Networks will follow before we go abroad again.
Summary: Good if you want no thrills, but try elsewhere first.
