Advantages: Cerain phones only available in Vodafone. Good reception throughout UK
Disadvantages: Dear, Call centre
When i was younger I was into the craze of wanting a mobile phone. So for my birthday one year i recieved one, on the vodafone network. I didn't think anything of it, it was a big name after all, Vodafone, they even sponsered Man Utd so i was happy enough.
But over the years i found Vodafone to be very expensive, not only for calls, but text messages as well. aso found the call centre to be of no use whatsoever and the features on the severa phones i did have under Vodafone were nothing exciting. The money drained from my phone in a flash, and i wasn't a big user of my mobile. Don't get me wrong they have an average enough spread of mobiles on offer and have very good reception in most areas but i felt i could do better.
This last couple of years i ahve been on a different network (O2) and would never go back. They have so many great offers compared to Vodafone and the help they give is off a much better standard to that of Vodafone. One time i was on holiday and my phone was practically useless. It wouldn't work, and Vodafone told me that i had to go through certain procedures to have it work abroad. This isn't the case with O2, there is nothing bad i could say about O2 when comparing it to Vodafone, a much better standard.
I wouldn't say it was a bad network, after all i had it for several years and wouldn't of noticed the difference if i never made the decision to change, but it is by far not the best network out there. I would advise anyone lookin to change network or choose a network to look around first before jumping in.
Summary: Not a bad network, but not the best. Look about first
