Advantages: Range of tariffs
Disadvantages: None
after having a Cellnet phone for two years I thought Id give Vodafone a go. A good move as it turned out.
Vodafone has a very good range of tariffs which you can now switch between at will. You can pick Vodafone original, pay as you talk, Smartstep, First step or Next step.
The tariffs vary depending on the type of user you are and when you use your phone most. To switch between them, there is a one off charge of £7.50. It really does pay for itself sometimes though because you would only swoitch if you wanted to use your phone more/less or different rates(peak or off peak).
First step is for evenings and weekends users.(10p min of peak 5p voda to voda)
Smartstep is for more frequent use text and talk.(25p min first 3 minutes, 5p min after that all day)
Next step for people who use their phone every day.(10p min all the time)
Allcalls has no line rental.(10p weekday evenings, 5p weekend)
Original is obviously the original price plan for PAYT.(2p min off peak).
Cellnet was ok too but the range of tariffs for Pay as you talk alone on Vodafone is exceptional!
Also their customer service is good too, I was experiencing some difficultied with my sim card and had a new one 48hrs later.
