Lazerbuilt Winnie the Pooh Telephone

I originally bought the winnie the pooh phone at the car boot as a play phone for Hannah and Jess. The phone cost me £2.00 and out of curiosity i plugged it in and worked so that was it pooh was staying in the living room and being used for his purposes as a phone.
The actual size of winnie the pooh is around 8 inches tall. To make ... him work its just a case of plugging in the long telephone cable to the phone socket on the wall. Winnie has the phone receiver hanging from his arm and he is bright and happy looking, there are small bubble bees on the phone.
He is very basic does not talk or move. When the phone rings it is a basic normal ring , the volume can be turned up high or low low is best for us as it is to loud and would wake the girls at night. The handset has all buttons on the reverse side with a redial button too, they buttons are quite big and easy to push as i can see them without my glasses on.
Cute phone looks good, made from plastic, long telephone cable. He is here to stay we love him.
I recommend the winnie the pooh telephone.

Lazerbuilt Winnie the Pooh Telephone

I purchased this Winnie The Pooh telephone from eBay a few months back. I still have a slight obsession with Winnie The Pooh and I love novelty telephones for the bedroom so this seemed ideal. I purchased it for £15.00 which I thought was quite a good price.
Firstly, I do think it is an item which is solely down to taste. I ... wouldn't have it in our living room for the simple fact it wouldn't go with anything in there but some people will choose to have it in their living room. I don't think it is a particularly childish phone. I know that some people will think it is for kids but it really isn't. It is for anyone. My one sits proudly on my bedroom side table.
Looks wise, it is identical to Winnie The Pooh which I would expect with a Disney item. Winnie stands at around 18 inches tall. He is the usual brightly coloured yellow with his red jumper on. He is standing on a patch of grass with his trademark honey pot and a little bee sitting on the edge of it. The phone is a pastel blue colour and it is held in his hand. The actual phone is not attached to Winnie The Pooh at all. It hangs on his hand.
He appears to be made out of a hard, solid plastic. I have knocked him off of my side table a couple of times and he has survived it with a simple bounce.
It is an easy telephone to use and to install. It is simply just a case of plugging the phone line in. There is also a far bit of give with the actual telephone as the cord does stretch quite a way which is handy. Though the phone being a cord telephone is another reason why I could never use it downstairs. I tend to be doing stuff when I am on the phone. I hate to sit down and talk which you do have to do with this telephone. The buttons on the phone are fairly large and easy to see. It is a very basic phone and does only have last number redial and a ringing volume function.
Whenever I use it, the phone is always crystal clear. I never have to repeat myself when I am using it because someone hasn't heard what I have said.
I should add that this phone does not have any update capabilities.
I do recommend this phone to people who like Winnie The Pooh, Disney or novelty phones. And if your kids are into Winnie The Pooh and have a phone in their room then they will love it too. It was definitely worth the money I paid but I think brand new it will cost somewhere in the region of £30.00 which I do think is a little bit too much and I personally wouldn't have paid that for it.

This particular item I never actually bought, but it was given as a present by my Mother in Law to the grandchildren. I believe it cost in the region of £20 but have since seen it on various online shops at a cost of £30ish.
The first question both myself and my wife asked each other was 'what on earth do we do with it?'. I ... mean after all it is a disney phone aimed at children (I would guess) and as they have no phone line in their bedroom, if we were to put it there, it would not be used. It would just be for decoration.
But if we put it downstairs it would look out of place, with our other decor. What my MIL thought when she was buying it I have no idea. It probably sounded a good idea at the time. In the end we decided to put it upstairs on my daughters dressing table.
A couple of weeks back our cordless phone downstairs broke. It was very distant, and callers were having a problem hearing us. So I decided to bin the cordless and for the time being go and use the Winnie the Pooh phone.
It wasn't a difficult job installing it. In fact it was just a case of plugging it in. The blue phone itself is totally separate from the 18" or so Winnie the Pooh. The handset works in a way that it hangs on Winnies hand. This keeps the button pressed in on the phone and leaves it ready to receive calls.
Upon removing it, you can hear the dial tone and i is ready to use. The handset stretches about 15 feet and the other cabling would give at least another 10 feet. So it stretches quite far. The phone quality is also good. A lot better than some digital phones.
It has very basic features on the blue coloured handset (with bee pictures) including last number redial and hi/lo ringing.
So what about Winnie? Well not a lot to say really. He is plastic. Appears quite durable and robust, and looks okay. He is sitting on the floor at the moment, but could really sit anywhere.
Is it worth the cash? Well if your kids have a phone line in their bedroom or you are a major disney fan, then the answer is probably yes. If like us, you have all your decor matching, and don't fancy Winnie spoiling it all, the answer is probably no.
So I'll give this 3 dooyoo stars. The jury is out!!
