Advantages: Easy view of all incoming/outgoing/voicema il messages; easy set-up options

Disadvantages: adverts hide the clock, but can press delete any time

This is a fantastic product. I have had one at home for 3 years and have just bid on ebay for another one for my office. I love the fact my voicemail messages remain until I delete, or a message tells me memory running low. Very useful for saving important messages for longer periods of time. I can also see, at the press of a button, (with caller display enabled), who has called (especially useful if they don't leave a message or I forget to switch answerphone on), and recent calls I have made (including the email collection). It's easy to set up caller groups and assign ringtones so you know who's calling.

As far as the e-mail collection (polling) is concerned, setting to manual collection means it only connects automatically once a week, so saving a lot of money. I carefully monitored my phone bills when I first got mine and realised just how expensive the e-mail collection was, for a service I didn't want to use. However, a study of the User's manual soon showed I could alter this by setting to manual collection (should have chosen this setting on registration). The difference in my phone bill now is minimal, 4x18p per month, +VAT = 84p approx per month. I can live with that for the fantastic advantages, all listed here by other reviewers, of the E-Mailer Plus. If you've already got one and you selected automatic polling on registration, look up how to change this in the 'advanced' section in the manual. Unless you already own one of these machines, as I do, do NOT buy one without a manual (eg from ebay) as you will not be able to use it! The machine has to be registered before use and will not recognise your phone number if registered to someone else. The registration process, which takes around 10 minutes, only has to be done once but is too complicated to do without a manual.

The address book is superb, especially for business use! You can enter home, office and mobile numbers, select the number you want to call, then press one button!

Buy it, read and use the manual fully (mine is always next to the phone), and you will have all the advantages without the major cost disadvantage mentioned by other reviewers here. The only disadvantages I can see are the adverts (you can ignore those and delete when they get in your way), and, for some people, the brightness of the screen, which actually automatically switches to low light during the night.

Summary: Excellent answering machine, clear and convenient to use. Superb address book. Great querty keyboard
