I was given these as a present as my old panasonic twin phones developed a fault and only the main one that sat on the base was working, first thing that hits you is how great they look they really are stylish handsets, obviously the main handset is kept downstairs and the second goes upstairs just on the charging base which is well within the range which is quoted at 300 meters which in my experience is optimistic but not an issue at all.
The actual handsets themselves look stylish and modern and have a bright color display and illuminating keypad similar to some mobile phones, they are also on the slim side compared to some cordless phones which is a good thing, they are easy to set up just plug both bases in and plug the phone lead in to the phone socket let them charge and they,re ready to go.
They come with the usual options ie,phone book which will store as many numbers as you will ever use
last number redial, caller id,speaker phone and answerphone(although i just use the standard 1571)they are also customisable with diffrent ringtones again like a mobile.
I found they work very well and one of the best parts is battery life which seems to be really good although they generally sit on they,re bases most of the time, the call quality is also good if not the best you will ever hear but at what they cost i suppose there are some slight drawback, another thing is although they look very good im not convinced they are built like a quality product and dont know how long they would last, although they are not priced expensive you cant have everything.
Just to summarise you could do a lot worse than these if you prefer style over other thing and like a bit of a bargain i definately would not put you off purchasing them.
I have recently been given these phones and so far they are great.
I have three handsets the main base which plugs into the phone line and two handsets that charge from the mains when in there slots but do not need to connect to the phone line as they work wirelessly off the main set.
The phones can be placed anywhere in the house, but they do need to be in range of the main set. I have a five bed house and they are spread from one end to the other and have no problems.
The sets are stylish with a rectangular black design and attractive colour screens thatcan be set up to show who is calling as well as have the time, a phone book and more.
The phones ring in sequence starting at the base then projecting to the others. This takes a while to get used to but is not an issue.
The phones work well. A good volume ring and good speaker volume. Easy to hold and good buttons.
I have not had these long enough to explore all the menu options or to say about reliabilty. I will update this review when I have.
So far my overall review is great. Stylish phones that are cordless, but charge quickly and have a long battery. Good speakers and volume.
Contrary to the other review on this website about this product I think this phone is very good. We purchased this set at the weekend because our previous phone bit the dust. It's style is undeniable and offers a modern solution to the in home telephone. The base chargers aren't too big although a problem I had was trying to find a location in which to place them which was a suitable distance away from both a phone socket and a plug socket, this is because the wires supplied weren't quite long enough, a problem which others may have.
Admittedly the buttons are a little difficult to get to grips with and the phone does have it flaws, but I would have to say that the positives of this product vastly outweigh the negatives. The answer phone function is easy to use and the buttons for that are also large and clear. There is a function enabling you to record your own message or you can just use the pre-recorded function.
The screen that the information is displayed on the two phones could be brighter because it is sometimes difficult to see what is being displayed. The ring for the phone is also quite quiet, but you can pick an interesting ringtone, we currently have Beethoven! How original.
If you want something a little different, that doesn't just look like your standard boring phone, then I would suggest the binatone Idect x3i. It also comes in a triple package should you need more than two phones.
Yuk Yuk and YUK.
this 'phone' is awful. from the moment you try to grt to grips with it you realise that you have been duped by the looks.....
lets be honest its made by Binatone, and should therefore by relegated to the bin. In fact you're better off taking your money and donating it to some worthwhile charity than supporting this terrible product.
my phone lasted a few hours.... from being setup and trying to use the thing to putting it back in the box and taking it back. it just simply broke, started to play around by not playing ring tones then it would play ring tones. then record or maybe not record messages.
the menu system on the phone is derived from studying chimps. the software is compiled by train drivers masquerading as programmers and the longevity of the phone? well if you ARE intent on trying this phone then i would suggest the extra guarantee 'cos you really will need it.
don't do it. don't think because it looks good it IS good. it's crap.
Binatone's mission lies in production of appliances of high quality and that are easy to use.
