good basic phone (Binatone MD1500)

I previously had this Binatone phone and as a cheap phone it is pretty good. It has a contemporary silver design and small black buttons. I purchased mine from Argos but this was about four years ago.
Like most landline phones there is a choice of ring tones but most of them are not the kind you want to listen to. I just chose the most bearable.
It does have a nice design and has a decent size wire for plug and telephone cable; this cannot be used in the event of the power cut as there is no battery back up.
.It did have a good range and base was in the front room and could quite happily chat on the phone in the back garden.
The sound quality was quite good I do like the base paging button to help me find the mislaid phone which was always happening and saved me ringing from my mobile.
I liked the silver colour which fitted in with lounge and gave it a more modern feel.
It is not the smallest handset but quite sleek none the less certainly not chunky. I would happily buy this phone again if I was just after a basic phone however there are much slimmer designs around these days.
