Brilliant phone, great value (BT Calypso 120)

Advantages: Good value, call quality and easy to setup

Disadvantages: Clock resets during power surges, not excellent ringtones

I signed up for BT's Total Broadband Option 3, and due to the Hub Phone being on backorder, I recieved a pair of BT Calypso 120 cordless telephones. I've never owned cordless phones before, so obviously I was amazed when I could finally walk downstairs with a small device in my hand or on loudspeaker.

Line quality is brilliant, although ringtones aren't excellent. When the line is called, the master base will sound a loud ringtone (which is perfectly audible from downstairs!), along with each handset playing a chosen ringtone. If you loose your handset(s), just hit the "page" button on the master, and the number you have connected to that base will sound.

My only real problem is when the handset is charging, and power is cut to the base. This can sometimes reset the clock, which isn't much of a problme, but it means going out fo your way.

Summary: A brilliant handset, but a couple of minor issues let it down.
