Not a expensive telephone at all.

I just love this phone and would highly recommend it. The sound quality is better than any other digital phone I've used and is akin to a chorded style. It is very user friendly and if you're accustomed with mobile phones, most of the features follow the same format. The phone is packed with interesting features and I downloaded 248 numbers to the phonebook from my sim card. The names pop up when a caller rings with the caller ID subscription in place. I also like the automatic transfer to other additional handsets. The colour is good and you can use a choice of 3 background menu shades in blue, green or pink. The earpiece is also a great asset when I can clip the phone to my waistband and carry on doing things with both hands free when having conversations.
We've just ordered 2 more of these although it was very hard to find a seller as the BT shop don't seem to have additional handsets for this model on their website yet.
The only disadvantages I found were that the texting menu doesn't have a dictionary to support the quick text and I had to inset many of the letters individually. Also the numbers and letters are quite small on the screen and it could prove difficult for those with poorer eyesight.
However, I think this phone would be hard to better and the extra money spent was well worth it.

Overall it's pretty okay to say the least.

      Perfect, if expensive

Wow, what can I say! A truly great cordless phone for the house! I have recommended this to all my family who have also purchased it. Having recently installed the internet into my home, I have needed a landline for it. I thought that I may as well purchase a house phone to go with the landline.

When you have an incoming call, the contact name appears on the screen to see who it is thats actually calling you aswell as their contact photo (if you have one for them). The interface of the phone is very good, and even easier to navigate round. Putting numbers in from your sim card to your handset is so easy, and it saves typing all your contacts names and numbers in manually!

The phone is so lightweight when holding it and it is actually very well made. The disadvantages were the texting feature (as the buttons are so small it makes texting rather difficult and I keep pressing 2 buttons at the same time), there is also no dictionary or spell checker to correct you if you have gone wrong somewhere.

The volume is plenty loud enough when the phone rings so there is no chance of not hearing it (unless your out) and there are several different tunes and melodies to pick from. I picked this phone up for £69.99 and I have never looked back. Yes I know that sounds expensive for a cordless house phone, but the quality from the receiver is fantastic wherever I am in the house and I also love the sloped stand that comes with it.

Overall a great piece of kit that I am pleased to own

      • "Price "

      Disadvantages

Great phones, great quality good value

I was in need of new cordless phone and having brought this as a twin pack I absolutely love them. First of all they look great with a lovely sleek style and easy to hold. They are lightweight too and with the blue LED back light it makes them look even better. It has a caller ID display which is really useful and a nice colour display.

There are a number of different tunes you can have for your ringtone and some of these a more annoying than others I should say but you are bound to find something that you like. I do like the buttons nice and chunky they feel quality when you press them that makes me think that they are going to last a long period of time. I also find the call quality of the devices really good. Moving around the room upstairs, downstairs I find that there is no difference. It is really good and my friends and family have also commented on how good the reception is.

The phones come with two really funky stands. They slope and look really good. I would actually say that the stands look even more sleek than the phones. It gives it a nice space age type feel to them.

If you are looking for a cordless phone I would certainly recommend them. Yes you can buy cheaper phones than this but I do not think you will regret buying these. I brought them for £69.99 so go grab yourself a good buy.

      • "Easy use"

      Disadvantages

      perfect phone for convenience

This is a really great phone for the home and it is perfect for any home. This Bt Equinox 1200 twin is the perfect cordless phone for any home and it is so easy to use and to install ( you basically just plug it in and then personalise it to how you want it to ring etc). It has an impressive feature were you can use the handset like a mobile phone which is fantastic and very convenient. You just insert your mobile sim card in and you can read your text messages and send text messages...this was one of the big selling points for me and helped me to decide to purchase this particular phone.I know that home phones are not as popular as they used to be and not as many people feel that they need to have a phone at home compared to pm(pre mobile) lol. I definitely could not live with out this cordless hand set in my home because it is so convenient and easy to use and also the cord less feature means you can carrybit around while you do your daily chores and you will not miss any phone calls by being in another room of the house.I only paid £40 for this and I have been using it for about 12 months now andi have had absolutely no issues at all....if you are at home a lot and need to have a land line with a cord less phone I would highly recommend you buy this...it is perfect.
