A good option for easy to use, expandable cordless phones (BT Freestyle 310)
Member Name: laser1234
Advantages: Small, easy to use, built well Disadvantages: Occasional connection issues I replaced all my mismatched phones in the house with Freestyle 310s. They look good, have small base stations and large buttons, making them easy to use. Setup was easy enough, although it was a pain having to individually program the phonebook on each handset - I'd have thought it should be possible to sync this across all the handsets using the same base station. Call quality is excellent, and range is perfectly acceptable, although it doesn't go as far as I would expect. If I take a handset running from a downstairs base upstairs for example, call quality becomes patchy quite quickly. Caller display feature is useful and works perfectly for me, and the call list is very useful for seeing when you've missed calls, and who from. I've had a slight issue where one handset reset itself randomly, losing all its setup and phonebook data, and another handset which did, for a time, appear to lose its connection to the base station periodically. However, with eight of them in the house, I've had no other problems, and they're a very easy to use and well built cordless phone. It was a painless process to expand the number of handsets too. Summary: A very good cordless phone system, with nice features, and few issues of note.
