I have had a phone left to me by the previous owner of my current house and had been quite happy with it, it stood, connected to my phone socket on the stairs which are in my living room and lead up to the bedrooms. Then I had a lodger moving in and her mother rings every night at 21.00hrs, when all the best programs are on the Telly, thus disturbing my viewing pleasure. I bought the BT Graphite 100 mainly because it is cordless, as this allows for the lodger to take it off the base and go to her room. Great. The sound and clarity is great also and means that everybody is happy. The phone itself is quite small but good to hold. The instruction are quite short and to the point, making it possible to get it all set up easily. I do love the look of the base, it's small and unobtrusive and just a little bit shiny. I think I got myself a little gem
