Advantages: Look nice, work nicely, good feel to them

Disadvantages: None

Our telephones had just about worn out. We usually have two phones, one in the kitchen and one in the living room but the one in the kitchen had stopped working and changing the battery didn't do anything so we decided it was time to get some new phones.

We had a look on the Argos web site to see what they had to offer and found these BT Graphite phones on there. There are three phones in the pack although they do lots of different packs with different amounts of phones. Three was sufficient for our family, we can now have one in the living room, one in the kitchen and another upstairs in my craft room. Its no good putting it in the bedroom and my Other Half works a lot of nights so this way it suits us all and we don't need to keep running down stairs to answer the phone or take the phone up with us and then forget where it was put.

The phones have a really nice feel to them. They are quite long and skinny and rectangular in shape but the bottom on the phone has a bit more depth to it than the slimmer top.

The colour of our phones are black but you can get them in silver too. We though the black ones looked more stylish though. They feel nice in the hand and are just the right shape to hold them without getting cramp in your fingers if you are on a long call.

The phone has a phone book where you can put in your numbers and it will keep them there for you so if you want to ring someone you don't have to keep looking up people's phone numbers. You just press the button with the little book on it and then you can either press the letter button for the person's name or scroll down the list with the arrow buttons.

You can redial the last number and you can also check the numbers of who has called you which is really handy if you still don't get to the phone in time even after having them dotted around the house.

You can use the speaker phone which is well handy too, I use this a lot if I am sewing, I can carry on having a chat with whoever it is and keep on sewing at the same time. Its also good if you have two of you who want to listen in on a phone call at the same time.

The phones are easy to call each other which is good for me if I am upstairs, I can call down to my other half and he can answer the phone without me having to shout down the stairs. You can also transfer a call to another phone but I am not sure how to do that as we haven't yet had to do it.

The sound is really good, you can turn it up if you want to by pressing a button so if the caller is quiet you will be able to hear them better.

The battery life on the phones seems to be much better although this might be where they are new. We do not really need to leave them off the hook for long as we have them in the rooms we use the most but they have never run out of battery yet.

They are still selling these phones on the Argos web site and they cost £49.99 for the three black phone set. It doesn't have an answer phone on it but you can buy a set with the answer phone which would cost you more money.

I would highly recommend these phones.
