Advantages: You can copy contacts from your sim card
Disadvantages: cant hear callers or they are very faint
I spent ages last yar looking for the perfect telephone to use for my house (unfortunately I had not heard of dooyoo at this time).
Home telephones can be quite expensive, so after careful deliberation, I decided to spend that little bit more and go for the BT Mango. The phone that I bought was black, however the orange one does look much nicer but it was out of stock.
In my opinion, a terrible phone, stay away!! The telephone itself looks the part, I got mine from ebay and paid around £40 for it at the time. When the telephone arrived it looked much bigger and bulkier than it does in the picture, but still I was willing to persevere with it as it had preety cool functions.
One of the fuctions that I actually liked about the telephone was that you can store loads of names and numbers in it (255), you can also just take your sim card out of your mobile and pop it into the phone and it will copy all of your contacts over, so anyone whos number you have stored, there name will pop up when they call you! It has 10 ringtones but lets face it I knew from the outset that these were going to be terrible!
Battery life, not great at all, I kept mine on charge when I was not using it, but the worst issue of all in my opinion was the number one thing that a phone should have, and that was it was never clear when speaking to people, very hard to hear even when fully charged.
The telephone is meant to have a good range, so you should be able to walk from room to room chatting hence 'cordless', but I found that if I moved at all it just made things worse!!
The telephone has an answering machine facility and you can have up to 5 handsets where you cant hear anyone - great!
Range of 300 metres outdoors and up to 50 metres indoors (apparently, but not in my house).
After all my research and spending an extra few pounds I think I ended up with the worst possible phone that I could have got!! In future I am sticking to the cheap corded models, at least they are relaible!
Summary: A terrible phone
