Advantages: Easy to use.
Disadvantages: Expensive, unreliable, poor battery life.
I bought these phones a couple of years ago for my new house. They have standard features including an easily accessible phone book, answering machine and volume adjustable ring tone.
The cordless option means that they are pretty flexible, and can be used in the garden, which is useful. The phones and chargers/holders themselves are reasonably attractive and durable, unlike the more cheap looking cordless handsets on the market.
However, there are two massive flaws with this product. Firstly, though they remain (successfully) on charge 24/7 unless being used, they have an incredibly short battery life. On occasion I've had one last only half an hour from being fully charged. There is no warning beep that they are low on battery or going to cut off - they just do, which if you use for a business or you're talking to someone important/in a professional capacity, would be a major issue. It's annoying enough if it happens after you've been on hold for half an hour! The only sign that the battery is low is the small charge symbol on the screen; however it is annoying to miss part of the conversation to keep constantly checking, and easy enough to forget to do.
The worst experience I've had with these phones is that one completely died. It wasn't used all that much (maybe on a weekly or so basis), though despite being on charge and plugged in, the screen just went completely dead and stayed that way. This happened after about a year after buying the phones brand new, which I was not pleased about as they were a lot more expensive then than they are now. This is also something to consider if you're buying them second hand, as they could fail at any point.
Overall, I would steer clear of these unless you can get them very cheaply. Not good as a long term product or for long calls.
Summary: Stay clear unless you can get these very cheaply.
