I have been looking for a phone to replace my BT Relay/Relate 2000 (cant remember what its called). Which was a great landline telephone for its day.
I was looking for something but I didnt know what to get. So I would keep putting it off.
I was shopping in Tesco and I always go through the home appliances section to see if there are any cool bargains.
I saw the Twin Pack BT Studio phones and I thought hmm, maybe a twin pack would suit me, as I have a home office and going downstairs is always a hassle when I need to call a client.
So I looked at the price, and I was shocked! The price was £7.50. What??!!! I said to myself.
I looked for a price scanner (Tesco have them mounted to walls) and I scanned it. £7.50 it was.
I took it home after checking on my phone and googling the model number and I discovered the average price for one of these was around £44
I was happy I save some money and got a good product.
I had to wait 24 hours before using the handsets and it was very easy to set up.
Place the base where the main phone line is and the other handset anywhere you like.
The sound quality is great. Not the best as I can hear crackle. I am on Virgin Media so not sure if that causes a problem or not.
But I can hear people well, and dont have to strain.
The good thing about this was that there is a internal intercom feature that I use quite often to talk to people downstairs on the other handset.
You can add more handsets if you wanted.
The battery life is not bad either, but I suggest you buy your own rechargable batteries as the ones included are always pants!
So far I have not had any complaints.
