Working in an office I have tried and tested many different types of phones. The original phone I was using when I first started this job was then BT studio 4100.
This is a cordless phone which comes with a small docking base. Both the phone and the docking base are silver. The shape of both of them are quite rounded too giving them a modern look.
The actual phone has many features. On the menu you can access the call list - this shows recent calls that have been made and recieved. The phone book where you can store your contact telephone numbers. The settings where you can adjust features on the phone and on the docking station. You can change volumes, ringtones and also whether the docking station rings or not. On the menu you can also reset the phone back to its original settings.
On the handset you have other options too. There is a secrecy button which can be used to 'mute' the calls so whoever is on the other end cannot hear what is being said. This is a great feature to help with confidentiality in an office environment. There is a re-dial button so you can easily call the last number you rang, again this is a great feature for an office.
The phone also has a few other standard features like recall, volume controls and the answer, hang up buttons. The docking station also charges the phone. As the phone is cordless the base has a 'find' button, which is great for is you misplace the phone. I have had to use this feature a few times.
The screen on the phone is quite large, you can give the phone a name which appears on the screen. This was handy for me as at the time we had a few of these phones in our office so it stopped us getting them mixed up.
Overall I would give this phone 8/10.
