We got these phones for a wedding present and they are very handy. We keep the main base downstairs as it needs to be plugged into the phone socket (and when we got these it was only then we realised that our house only has one phone socket and it is very expensive to get another socket, but all that is another story) and then we have the second base upstairs, as this only needs to be plugged into a normal electricity socket.
The phones are both cordless which is great feautre and there seems to be a wide range of coverage as I have yet to lose coverage if out in the garden. There are also handy 'find' buttons you can push if you have misplaced a phone, it will help you to find it.
The main features of the phone are :
255 name & number phonebook
Up to 10 hours talk & up to 100 hours standby time
3 way conferencing
15 handset ringer melodies
Range up to 300m outdoors & 50m indoors
SIM Card Reader/Writer
I cannot claim to have used all these features, but I have used the Sim Card reader which is very useful. I have not got the caller display to work, as it just says external call, but I am going to look into that. It is easy to add new entries to the phonebook I thought as well.
The sound quality on these is ok, although sometimes I would like to make the voice of the other person louder, but it is already at its loudest. The battery is very good, you can leave the phone off the charger for a few days before it dies, although the instructions tell you not to leave the phones on the charger permanently, it is better if you take them off for a bit at a time. The keys are very comfortable. The conference function allows you to use both phones on the same call so two people can speak to the caller at the same time.
This phone package is quite reasonable, as they were £50.00. I wish now though that we had got phones with an answering machine, they are not much more expensive. Bit silly not to have really.
