I previously owned a panasonic phone but following an accident i had to replace them. i did so with a cheaper brand and a week later went to the expense of a new set of panasonic. This is a measure of the quality you always seem to get when you but panasonjic.
Firstly, they are very easy to set up. Simply plug them in! The main unit sorts out the synchronisation and each change you make on one hand set is automatically transferred to the others. This makes adding numbers and contacts very easy and quick.
Once fully charged, which takes a few hours in the firts instance, you have a choice of a variety of vivid colourful backgrounds. the time is displayed and the display font is astoundingly clear.
For such a sleek phione the number pad is comfortably sized and is backlit by a vivid blu LED. The backlight come on when the unit is in use, otherwise the phone automatically returns to standby mode after 5 seconds.
The phone is usuable with caller ID and has a memory for previousnumbers dialled and previous calls received. Both of these lists are easily accessed via discrett black buttons on the front of the unit. The main menu, where you can access all options, settings and answer machine is also accessed through pressing one button on the front of the unit.
Once in the main menu you have many settings that you can play with. the ring tones are varied and can be loud! The phones can also be used as an alrm which is useful as invariably on of the 4 machines will be in the bedroom! Not only is the alarm reliable but it is guarenteed to wake you! (It has never failled to wake me and that is no mean feat!)
The memory holds a massive amount of contacts and for the more popular numbers you have the option of setting speed dials.
the sound is unbelievably good. It is fully digital so the clarity is excellent. Even on speakerphone the sound retains it's quality which is unusual for cordless telephones. I have also manged to keep a call going 18m from the base unit (outside by my car!) This is more than enough to satisfy even the most active of phone users.
ergonomically, the phones have been designed well, The phones themselves are slim and a comfortable to hold. this is assisted by the rubberised back of the phone which increases the cpomfort of holding the phone. Couple these ergonomics with sleek shiny black looks and you have a real winner.
In terms of charge, I can honestly say that mine have never gone flat and they have been left out of the charge pods for more than a day.
the answer phone is clear and can be accessed one of two ways. First, you canm simply press a button on the main unit and the new messages will be played in order. you can also dlete messages from the main unit. If you are not near the main unit then do not worry! you can access the answer phone through an handset. By simply going to the main menu and selcting answer machine you can choose a variety of option including listening to new messages, saved messages and any of the delete options.
Overall a really good, rliable and well designed product. Well done panasonic!
