Advantages: stylish, compact, easy to set up
Disadvantages: basic features, bulky power adaptors
These phones were bought to replace old wired ones that came with our new house.
First off, the set up couldn't be easier. Simply plugged the base unit in to the wall socket and phone line, placed one of the three handsets in the unit to register it and repeated for the other phones. These stylish units are a great addition to any room in the house, they're slim and lightweight.
The base units themselves require a power socket each and use a medium-sized power adaptor, as a preference I'd rather not have to use these bulky plugs, but it is a minor point.
The reception is not bad (depending on your line quality in the first place) and I frequently walk all over our house with a phone from the cellar and have no trouble with signal strength.
Each handset allows for 20 numbers to be stored in it (more than enough between all three units in my experience), have a limited selection of ring tones ranging from 'outright horrible' to 'not as annoying as the others'.
The answer machine function of the main base unit allows for 15 minutes of recorded messages and has a blinking orange light to indicate phone use or messages present.
Couple of minor issues with signal quality turned out to be a BT line fault, as did having one of the base units too close to my WiFi router (something to bear in mind if space is an issue in your home.)
In all, these phones are adequate, but nothing particularly special.
Summary: Basic phones that won't amaze. They get the job done.
