I have had this phone since Christmas. I wanted a triple dect with an answerphone. I got precisely that (mine is black though, don't like white - too clinical looking) and a lot more to boot.
To look at its a smooth looking unit, nice rounded edges. The answerphone unit is nice and compact, doesn't take up a lot of room.
First the - I think - the best feature on this phone is the Caller ID. A very useful feature if there are people you just want to avoid like the plague!
I like the fact that everything is accessable from the handset. You don't actually have to physically touch the answerphone unit to access it.
The functions, to me, are clear and concise from the menu button on the handset.
It has very good functions on hand like phonebook and alarm clock. The phone book holds 100 names and numbers. The alarm clock I find particulary useful especially on school mornings.
It has a personal setting where you can change the phone settings like the handset name (i use names of where the phones are situated like bedroom, kitchen and lounge). You can give each handset a different ring tone or keep it all the same, there are several ringtones to choose from.
The phones have quite a large volume range, which is very useful as I know that some telephones I have had in the past have had quite quiet rings and when you have 3 children to hear over, thats no good! These phones are very loud. You can also alter the hearing volume on the handset while you are speaking, handy when the person on the other line goes "I can't hear you, stop whispering" i've had that a few times!
The phonebook and redial buttons are only one touch of a button away, very handy if you've dialled a number that isn't in your directory.
The directory holds 100 names and numbers, but this is for each handset, so with a triple set like mine, in effect you could have 300 names and numbers!
It has a loudspeaker function, i've used this several times in the past, mainly for the children to sing Happy Birthday down the phone to grandparents and such like.
Other function include calling the other handsets to either speak to someone else in the household, or just because you can't remember where you put it down, mute, and you can lock the keypad by holding down one button - handy for when you have fiddle fingered children that like to just press numbers - you don't want a phone bill for calling Alaska or something like that.
Batteries are rechargable from the cradles they sit in too. Each handset has its own charger which are all mains operated.
I researched many phones and this ticked all of my boxes and more.
