Advantages: none
Disadvantages: see above
I can't believe that it's actually legal to sell this kind of junk. There must be something about it in the Trades Descriptions act.
About 1 1/2 years ago, we invested in the answerfone version of this phone, with 2 handsets.
The first (and main) problem with it, is the speed of communication between handset and base station is appalingly slow. If I press 'call register', for instance, it can take up to 5 seconds for the screen to appear. Same with any of the other functions, which makes putting phone numbers into the memory a complete nightmare - in fact I gave up doing this about a year ago. We now use a good old-fashioned paper address book. In fact, It takes me about the same amount of time to walk into the next room, get the address book out of a drawer, and then come back and look it up instead of using the directory feature This is no exaggeration.
Over the last 3 month, all the keys have started to seize up. Some of them don't even work now. One one of the handsets, when someone ring and I press the answer button, it just puts them straight on hold.
Anyway, I just though I'd come on and review this piece of rubbish before I throw it in the bin.
Good riddance.

- 18/04/05 Hi MGirl
Sorry - left that bit out. It cost £90. At this price, I was expecting something a bit more high-end than what I got.

- 15/04/05 Hi, welcome to dooyoo! I've had a different problem with a BT cordless handset. It's so bad that even if you're sat next to the base station (thus defeating the object of it being cordless), the reception is so bad that on the other end of the line, whoever's talking just ends up saying "what?" every other word.
I'd be interested to hear how much it cost?

- 15/04/05 Carly - We've had them for a while now, so well past any possible return. I know I should have complained ages ago, but I'm pretty lazy about things like this (and very busy!), so just make do most of the time.
