These Philips phones were bought to replace an older Philips system that had decided to pack in. They are not a particularly fancy home phone, not having features like a colour screen etc. They are a typical, workhorse modern cordless phone for a home.
The phones themselves may look slightly bulky but the are a nice size in practice and fit the hand and head profile nicely. The sound (voice) quality through the loudspeaker is very good and the hands free loudpeaker is of good quality too. The phones ring very loudly should you wish to set them up in this manner.
When using the hands free function, the microphone has a fairly impressive range and will pick up your voice from across a quiet room. It is very useful for when using the phone whilst working on something.
The answer machine does what it says on the tin, not really much else to say on that matter. It records well and plays back, the user interface is also very easy to use.
The phones have an extremely good cordless range and will work outdoors, well away from their bases. They have the ability to store a lot of contact details which can be made private to each phone or shared between them all. There is also an intercom feature where you can call the other phones.
These phones offer a good performing, reasonably priced, multiple phone solution for your home.
