... Philips phones were bought to replace an older Philips system that had decided to pack in. They are not a particularly fancy home phone, not having features like a colour screen etc. They are a typical, workhorse modern cordless phone for a home. The phones themselves may look slightly bulky but the are a nice size in practice and fit the hand and head profile nicely. The sound (voice) quality through the loudspeaker is very good and the hands free loudpeaker is of good quality too. The phones ring very loudly should you wish to set them up in this manner. ... would never buy another Philips Dect phone. Since we have bought our dual set, we have not been happy with it. At first, it was simply a matter of battery life. We would take the phone off the hook at full battery power, make a call and after forty-five minutes, the battery would be irritatingly bleeping because it has almost run out. Since, however, the problem has become worse. One of the two phones no longer rings or displays Caller ID and the sound when answering a call is extremely muffled. So we now have to carry one phone around the house with us, which beats the object of the Duo idea. And of course, with that phone off the hook for long periods of time, the ...

Simply plugged the base unit in to the wall socket and phone line, placed one of the three handsets in the unit to register it and repeated for the other phones. These stylish units are a great addition to any room in the house, they re slim and lightweight.
