Colin+E+Orman Philips Onis Memo 6511
... by the same fault in the rubber button membrane:- inability to charge a particular phone on the base station, although it could be charged on the charger; answer machine turning itself on/off; inability to disconect a call without removing the battery; buttons not working and then sticking on and producing multiple numbers. All I need is some new rubber button sheets - but do you think Philips have produced a number or address where we can easily purchase such items? We then moved house, and, for some reason that's beyond me, I then bought an additional handset for another room, and this too worked OK. In fact it's still working OK, but occupies the base station, as the original one does not work at all, regardless of battery changes etc. Phoned Philips several times, and was given less than 'interested' service. As I recall I was then put on to another company to order replacement batteries, at my cost. An additional problem is that we use NTL in our new house, and when we subscribed to the caller ID service,...
