We decided to seek out the best phone available that would allow us to sync our computer address book to the phone. Unfortunately this turned out to be worse than a £4.99 phone from Tesco. The volume of the ringer is so quiet it can hardly be heard, the battery life is awful, the '3' button on both handsets fails to press on occasion, the operation of the phone is entirely counter intuitive and even simple operations like Redial and phone book traversal require at least a few tries to find. Syncing the phone through bluetooth only works with outlook and then it took quite some time to pursuade it to share. The address book once sync'd is practically unusable and lacks basic navigation features. When speaking of the phone to other parties they often complain that they can hardly hear what I am saying. By switching to another phone I have no such problem. All in all I would recommend this phone in the same way that I would recommend donating the deeds of your home to the Nigerian Government Lottery.
The handset Siemens Gigaset SL56 is the elegant way to expand your telephone system at home. Underneath its sublime finish, the Gigaset SL56 brings features that were once reserved for mobile phones right into your home: voice dialing and text messaging (SMS). Assign images and polyphonic ringer melodies to specific entries in your address book. You can speak with your hands free and still enjoy the best sound quality. Or use a comfortable headset to talk and walk. And if you don't like being disturbed at home, just switch on the vibracall function and stay connected in peace and quiet. And when you give each household member their own handset, everyone can make use of their own organizer with alarm functions to manage their life at home. Brilliant.
