Advantages: reliable, compact, excellent value
Disadvantages: buttons can be a bit stiff
I bought this phone for just £4 when I first moved into my new house. With all of the other expenses and must buy's on my list, the quality of my house phone was just not important to me. So I got this super cheap phone from Tesco's...
Well nearly 2 years later, the phone is still working perfectly and I have never felt the need to replace it. It does everything that a traditional phone should do and is compact so does not take up too much space on my shelf. I have never had any problems with the phone and it has always proved to be reliable. Sometimes the buttons can be a bit insensitive and don't recognise that you've pressed them, but as long as you push reasonably hard this doesn't become a problem. The phone has a HI/LO option on the base so that you can alter the volume of the ring, which is handy as the loud can be very loud! On that basis though, I think this phone would probably be very good for somebody hard of hearing.
If you are looking for a phone for the fact that it is cheap, as a spare or simply because like me you don't use the house phone often enough to justify spending out for a cordless (or don't mind sitting next to the phone) then this phone is definitely a good choice for you. It is reliable, easy to use and small. It has everything that you would expect from a traditional phone, and at excellent value.
Summary: a great phone for someone who only wants the basics
